Lithium Ionic advances project financing with LOI for $266m
The funding represents 100% of the capital expenditure outlined in a May 2024 feasibility study.
Ketih Schaeffer – publisher of the Oil and Gas Investments Bulletin – says Canada’s west coast is in a good position to export liquefied natural gas (LNG).
In an interview with the Business News Network, Schaffer says there’s lots of potential in small-scale, low cost LNG facilities popping up in British Columbia, mentioning in particular Golar LNG – a UK company that recently partnered with the Haisla First Nation on a BC project.
“We are at the vanguard of a lot of the small-sclae LNG development that’s going on in the world,” Schaeffer said.
Commenting on environmental impacts, Schaeffer says that with “much more environmentally-friendly fluids” and reduced water usage, environmental concerns won’t be an issue.
