The good people at Visual Capitalist and Ontario Mining Association must be using figures from a few years ago. Mining and exploration is down considerably in Ontario due in part to the economy but mostly because the Ont Govn’t changing the Mining Act. Companies and mining property owners are dropping their properties like crazy. Ontario is no longer the mining capital of Canada.
