Montreal, Quebec, September 24, 2013: Atlas Copco presented the 2nd edition of its unique Customer Day in Montreal. This event brought together Atlas Copco’s clientele; mostly from the Top-500 Canadian companies. This Open Door event has shown how substantial industrial energy savings is possible with Atlas Copco’s Oil-Free compressors, recognized with the ISO 8573-1 and TÜV environmental certifications.
With unbeatable performance, the efficiency of Atlas Copco’s Oil-Free technology was demonstrated with live demonstrations of an Oil-Free Class Zero compressor and an Oil-injected Class 1 model. The difference between their respective production costs was highly significant and the projected amount of energy savings in one single year was revealed.
According to Philippe Bleys, vice-president of Atlas Copco Compressors Canada in the Oil-Free Air Division, “Class Zero was instated after the increasing demand of manufacturers to have a stricter standard considering compressed air facilities can represent anywhere between 10% to 70% of production costs. Class Zero compressors will ensure that final products are not contaminated by oil”.
