Big Oil seizes lithium opportunities
Mining companies could benefit in cash and technology as major fossil fuel companies invest in lithium.
Global supplier of engineering solutions Weir Minerals today announces its sponsorship of CEEC International Ltd (Coalition for Eco-Efficient Comminution). Weir Minerals is the global leader in the provision of slurry handling equipment used in mining and mineral processing applications. The company recently signed an exclusive and perpetual license for KHD High Pressure Grinding Rolls (HPGR), having direct control over the design, manufacture and distribution of HPGR in minerals processing applications using KHD technology.

HPGR technology has been demonstrated to deliver significant productivity gains in mineral processing, particularly hard rock mining operations. As ore grades decline and more challenging resources are mined, HPGR technology will have a critical role to play.
