Mining’s old guard needs strong medicine
A new report details subpar investor returns in the mining industry over the last decade, particularly big cap diversified companies which have not adapted to new realities.
Geologist Brent Cook discusses the outlook for the mining sector in an interview with Cambridge House International at its May investment conference.
He says the economic deposits that can be bought now at a discount to value will eventually be worth a lot of money.
In copper, gold, and platinum group metals, Cook also says major companies are likely to start shutting down mines because they aren’t making much money at the current prices.
