PlantMiner.com.au – Australia’s largest listing of hire plant and equipment online

A 24 year old from Brisbane is bringing more than 37,000 pieces of plant and equipment for hire onto the doorsteps of online searchers from across Australia with the launch of Australian owned and operated, PlantMiner.com.au.

Over 200,000 searches are made for plant and equipment hire related terms on Google in Australia every month, contributing to what has become a multi-billion dollar industry.

PlantMiner.com.au is the first online search portal to offer such a comprehensive range of plant and equipment for hire online comparable to the likes of wotif.com.au or carsales.com.au.

The website is the brainchild of PlantMiner.com.au CEO and co-founder Michael Trusler, a qualified engineer by trade who came up with the concept while working onsite in Queensland’s Bowen Basin.

“When working on any mine or large construction site, I dreaded starting new jobs and machine breakdowns due to the the time-consuming searches for hire plant and equipment that would follow. It’s not just a case of finding the right piece of equipment or machinery, but also all of the safety features and correct attachments that go with it,” Mr Trusler said.

“I found it astonishing that the hire plant and equipment industry, which is so heavily relied upon for huge infrastructure and construction projects, didn’t have a central online database in Australia that could meet all of their plant and equipment requirements.

“I wanted to create something that could directly connect plant and equipment hire suppliers with searchers from across the country via Google and other search engines – from mining and construction managers building $100 million projects to DIY mum and dads looking to landscape their backyard.

“I want a construction manager to be able to log on to our website or smart phone app and find everything they need for the job at hand, from a portaloo to a 100 ton excavator.”

PlantMiner.com.au launched this week and has attracted more than 37,000 listings from over 500 plant and equipment hire companies from across Australia.

It is the first dedicated online plant and equipment hire database suitable for a wide range of industries, directly linking searchers who have specific hire requirements from forestry and farming, to mining and construction, with plant and equipment hire companies across Australia.

“PlantMiner.com.au is the most efficient way to search, compare and secure plant and equipment for hire in a hurry, along with project-specific safety features and attachments. Searchers can specify their exact hire requirements, including hire duration, specific safety features, attachments, even site / mine passouts,” Mr Trusler said.

“The portal streamlines the ‘search and engage’ process by gathering a large range of plant and equipment hire suppliers across Australia, in the one place.

“Enquiries and quote requests are sent directly to the supplier in real-time via email and SMS, which means searchers can receive an immediate response from a range of suppliers, from all locations, via the website.”

Plant and equipment hire suppliers can upload detailed descriptions and images of their plant and equipment, safety features and attachments enabling searchers to view the product before contacting the supplier via phone/email or through the online ‘enquire and quote request’ lead generation system.

PlantMiner.com.au also allows suppliers to upload their company and branch information onto a company profile page, acting as a mini website that’s ideal for smaller, more remote businesses.

Suppliers can upload company information, business photos as well as OHS policies and general hire agreements.
