Lucapa Diamond Co. identifies new kimberlite targets

Australian-based Lucapa Diamond Co. (ASX: LOM) announced last week it identified eight new kimberlite targets at its Lulo concession in Angola.

As a result of an aeromagnetic survey, the company has  preliminary data from a strip of land near where it has recovered diamonds of up to 131.4 carats from its alluvial sampling operations.

Additionally, in March, three of the biggest alluvial diamonds recovered from Lulo were found to be Type IIa diamonds, which are the rarest and most valuable in the world.

The company expects to receive the final survey data this week.
