Zimbabwe central banker stockpiles gold to bolster ZiG currency
The ZiG - short for Zimbabwe gold — is the nation’s sixth attempt at having a functioning local currency in the last 15 years.
In an interview with ProEdgeWire, Donald Burton, President, Namibia Rare Earths Inc. (TSX: NRE) described the Lofdal rare earths project in the northern region of the country as a “…brand new rare earth mineral district on a scale of about 200 square kilometres.”
The project has an estimated 75-80% heavy rare earth oxide content of the deposit.
