President of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will visit uranium-rich Niger this weekend to mark “a turning point in bilateral ties” between the two nations, reported Agence France-Presse Saturday.

Iran’s presidential elections will take place on June 14th of this year. The outgoing Ahmadinejad is ineligible to stand for a third term.
