Fleming Gulf is back with 2nd Latam Health, Safety and Rescue Operations in Mining which will be held on12 – 13 June 2013 at Rio De Janeiro – Brazil. This forum aims to elevate safety-security measures and set standards for rescue operations for minimizing risks and urging this sector to optimize its potential.
This forum brings forth a platform to discuss, understand and analyze the importance of health, safety and rescue operations in mining industry. Federico Cornejo Castellanos, HSE Manager and Freddy Toribio Chamorro, Health and Safety Superintendent from Rio Tinto Minera (Peru), will be addressing a detailed case study entitled as, “Risk Management in Rio Tinto – Risk Analysis using a three level approach” which will brainstorm the management system in Rio Tinto. This case-study will outline the risk management framework in Rio Tinto elaborating on the three level risk analysis approach using the correct tool to measure the risk level.
Mining leaders believe that that “Zero harm” is not just about making safety a core value, it is about eliminating physical injuries and illnesses, taking control of your health & safety, and consistently choosing more safe behaviours.
