Zijin Mining to take 9.9% stake in Montage Gold
As part of the deal, the Lundin Family Trust also agreed increase its stake in the company from 17.7% to 19.9%.
A fire at a coal mine in northeastern China killed 11 workers with carbon monoxide fumes Thursday night and two people are still missing, reports Wiredupdate.com.
Thirteen people were working in the mine when a forcing fan caught fire sending toxic smoke throughout. The coal mine is located in Huailai county near the city of Zhangjiakou.
A Chinese authority said a search and rescue team had recovered the bodies of the dead miners but they were still looking for the two others.
The mine’s general manager was suspended following the incident pending an investigation into the incident.
The Zhangkuang Group, a subsidiary of Jizhong Energy Group Co., owns the mine.
China’s mines are among the most dangerous in the world, with the country reporting 1,384 deaths in 2012.
