Gold loves chaos and should be hitting new highs, especially with inflation coming down and with it, two rate cuts likely before year’s end.
As the price of gold has climbed in recent years, many Chinese have flocked to Ghana, the world’s second bullion producer after South Africa, hoping to find their way out of poverty.
According to Global Times, it is estimated that over 10,000 Chinese are engaged in gold mining in Ghana, which has known reserves of the precious yellow metal estimated in about 985 tons.
But since the West African country recently hardened measures to control illegal gold mining, many of the Asian immigrants are finding their dreams out of reach. They are also facing increased resentment and hostility amongst rural communities in Ghana.

Oh well, the Europeans have been ripping off or robbing around the world in the old days. Now, it is the Chinese’s turn, what’s the big deal? Oh, btw, the Americans have been doing it for the past 50 years or so as we talked.

Did not Ghana detain Chinese miners? They were caught mining illegally. Seems China does not respect other country’s mining claims. In South Africa, the Chinese were cheating the African people out of their wages.
Gordon Campbell, ex BC Liberal Premier, also sold BC’s resources to Communist China, as is his good friend Harper, is doing with the tar sands. Campbell only required China to send their people to school, to learn 100 English words, to take the mining jobs in BC. Murray River is taking this to court. They want the Chinese miners removed.
Canadians don’t want Communist China on their soil, what-so-ever. China has a very bad reputation around the globe. Every country trying to deal with China, gets ripped off.
