Northvolt CEO steps down after bankruptcy filing
Peter Carlsson, co-founder and leader of Northvolt since 2016, will remain as advisor as he quit a day after the firm filed for bankruptcy.
Toyota has announced it will invest USD 150 million in mining company Oro Cobre’s lithium mining project located in Salar de Olaroz, Jujuy, Argentina.
The Olaroz mine is already under construction and the initial investment is estimated at ARS 1.3 billion (USD 272 million).
The mine is forecast to produce 16,000 tons of lithium a year.
