Sponsoring for 50 Students at Kumasi Technical Institute (Ghana)

The Government of Ghana announced on its website that 50 students of the Kumasi Technical Institute (KTI) will receive sponsoring for their training programme. For the sponsor, Perseus Mining Ghana Limited (PMGL), these scholarships are part of the company’s social responsibility programme.

The students, including 19 females, are expected to undertake three-year training in the fields of motor vehicle mechanics, diesel and heavy duty mechanics, wielding and fabrication, plumbing and gas, as well as electrical installation, industrial mechanics, auto body repairs and carpentry and joinery.

Presenting the admission forms to the students, the General Manager of the PMGL, Mr. Wayne Nicoletto, said besides financial support to train students at the KTI, the company “has instituted a new scholarship scheme for students within Perseus Edikan catchment communities to further their education in the second and tertiary institutions in the country.”
