Mining’s old guard needs strong medicine
A new report details subpar investor returns in the mining industry over the last decade, particularly big cap diversified companies which have not adapted to new realities.

In fact Tenova Pyromet is currently working on several new projects, on which good progress is being made. A feasibility study for Eastplats – South Africa’s sixth largest platinum group metals producer – is due to be submitted in December 2008. On client approval, Tenova Pyromet will continue with the refurbishment of the four Pyromet furnaces, with a total capacity of 7.4 MW to be commissioned in May 2010….more at MEIOnline
