COSATU North West launches mass action against exploitation

The Congress of South African and Trade Unions with its affiliates is starting its rolling mass action against the exploitation of workers and the attitude of some councillors towards service delivery to the poor communities who elected the same councillors.

To this end, COSATU is taking its members to the street on one-day action every week.

The mass action is informed by the arrogant attitude of the employers, in particular in the mining industry, the municipalities and Sun International at Sun City, which is exploiting workers almost every day.

“Workers are paid peanuts, while senior managers, CEOs and directors are receiving double what poor workers are receiving,” COSATU stated.

COSATU has extended an invitation to the press to attend all of its events.
