The Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME) offers every year several scholarships for students in the minerals industry. There are different scholarships for the divisions of the SME. The Environmental Division Scholarship includes the possibility for an extra scholarship of $2,000 sponsored by Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies for candidates interested in a water related career within the mining industry. The application deadline for most of the SME scholarships is November 1!
