Hunan Gold shares surge after large deposit found in China
The Geological Bureau of Hunan Province said on Thursday that it had detected more than 40 gold veins containing an estimated 300 tons of the precious metal.
Rio Tinto CEO Tom Albanese told reporters in Beijing that the company is optimistic about China’s long-term steel production, predicting that Chinese steel output will increase by 40% to reach 1 billion metric tons by 2030.
