Directors Neil Colquhoun and Matt King today announced the launch of the Design & Build Perth office, with the doors of the St Georges Terrace office officially opening on Monday the 3rd of September. The expansion in services marks a strategic consolidation of the brand presence in the WA region, where a substantial portion of Design & Build’s client and candidate community are based.
A move into Perth’s CBD is a considered response to healthy demand within the WA market, and marks the third official state office opening since the company’s inception back in 2004.
Director Matt King, who travels weekly between state offices overseeing the operations, says: “this is an exciting time for the business to be adding to our local coverage as we open another office and while we have slowly gravitated to taking on assignments in WA through our Eastern Seaboard networks, being on the ground in Perth will provide us with the perfect platform to service new and existing clients across the Resources, Engineering and Construction sectors.”
Following what was a successful office launch in Sydney back in June 2011, the Melbourne-born firm have taken the opportunity to embrace what is a buoyant specialist market in the Resources sector, alongside core specialities in Engineering and Construction in Western Australia.
The WA office will be led by long-standing Design & Build Manager Jeffrey See, whose standout contribution to the Energy and Resources division of the business has created an organic transition to state office Management in Perth.
Jeffrey’s experience in the Resources market spans some seven years, working across Executive Search, Permanent and Contract recruitment in the Mining & Minerals Processing, Oil & Gas, Energy & Power, Infrastructure, and Heavy Manufacturing for White Collar professionals. His proven ability to successfully manage major recruitment accounts for global engineering firms, resources and mining organisations, as well as dedicated agency recruitment teams for the Resources sector, ensures Jeffrey in is in good stead to continue leading a team of professionals to provide premium end to end recruitment solutions to the Western Australian market.
