The mining industry gears up for MINExpo 2012

MINExpo 2012 is less than a month away and as the industry prepares to attend to the world’s biggest mining event, held every four years in Las Vegas, we have prepared a summary of what you can expect to see in this new version of the show.

From September 24-26, more than 35,000 visitors, including over 7,000 representing from about 100 overseas nations, will gather at MINExpo. The show, which is three times larger than any other mining event, will have companies exhibiting everything from large haulage and extractive equipment to extremely sophisticated electronics and the most sought-after mining services.

Covering approximately 850,000 square feet of the Las Vegas Convention Center, this year’s exhibit is expected to dazzle attendants not only with some the industry’s largest equipment. There will also be an education program with 20 sessions that will cover the most timely and pressing issues within the mining industry.

MINExpo is a trade show sponsored in part by the National Mining Association, the voice of the American mining industry, headquartered in Washington D.C.  The expo 2012 incorporates 1,800 exhibitors and showcases the latest in mining and mineral processing technologies.

The show, famous for its grand size, will exhibit some the industry’s largest equipment.  From bulldozers to hand tools; the latest in automation and robotics; safety and communications equipment; materials processing and pollution control equipment; consulting and financial services – everything mining under one roof.

The event runs from September 24-26 and MINING.com will be there to keep you informed on the latest trends, inventions and happenings at the world’s largest mining exposition.
