Fortune Bay reports 13% U3O8 drilled at Murmac uranium project
The drilling program was funded by Aero Energy, which is earning a 70% interest in the project.
Accidents happen, writes Gary Lamphier for the Edmonton Journal. Yet the expectations that are holding up the Enbridge Northern Gateway are unrealistic compared to any other industry. Lamphier says the recent spill in Michigan and Wisconsin was a fraction of the amount of oil that is delivered through the pipeline and consumed:
Now, let’s be crystal clear here: Yes, pipeline leaks are a very bad thing. In an ideal world, there wouldn’t be any — just as there wouldn’t be plane crashes, train derailments or car accidents.
But let’s get a grip. Where’s the sense of proportion here? I don’t see any. It’s clear that Enbridge — like the oilsands — has been successfully demonized by a well-funded green lobby that wants the oilsands stopped, or at a minimum, shut in.
