Patrick J. Largier appointed FLSmidth Senior VP

He will lead Asia-Pacific Non-Ferrous activities
and FLSmidth Ludowici global product company.

SALT LAKE CITY – With the closing 3 July 2012 of FLSmidth’s acquisition of the Australian engineering and equipment supply company, Ludowici Limited, FLSmidth is announcing that it has appointed Patrick J. Largier as the senior vice president and head of the Asia-Pacific region for the Non-Ferrous Division. He will also continue as CEO of what is now known as FLSmidth Ludowici.

Flanagan, FLSmidth Group executive vice president and head of the Non-Ferrous Division. “His broad experience and success as an executive in the minerals processing and related consumables industries are unmatched. Through his talents and skills these past five years, Ludowici Lim-ited has expanded rapidly, and we expect the integrated FLSmidth Ludowici to continue to grow under his leadership in addition to all non-ferrous activities throughout Asia-Pac.”

Ludowici is a world leading provider of coal centrifuges, vibrating screens and complementary wear resistant products and services for the minerals industry. Headquartered in Brisbane, Australia, Ludowici is also expected to expand FLSmidth’s presence in this key mining region and in customer service operations.

Previous to serving as managing director and CEO of Ludowici Limited, Largier worked 15 years for Orica/ICI Australia which is based in Melbourne, Australia. During that period he led a number of Orica’s business units and divisions and was the company’s executive general manager over strategy and acquisitions. Prior to Orica, he worked for Shell for 10 years in London and South Africa. He holds a chemical engineering bachelor’s of science from the Uni-versity of Cape Town, South Africa, and attended the Harvard Advanced Management Pro-gram in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, in 2004. Largier was born in South Africa and has been living in Australia for the last 20 years. He currently resides in Brisbane.
