More than 10,000 diamonds are being displayed at London’s Buckingham Palace this week to mark Queen Elizabeth’s 60th year on the throne.
The exhibition, called Diamonds: A Jubilee Celebration, brings together seven of the nine principal stones cut from the famous Cullinan Diamond for the first time ever. The Cullinan Diamond was discovered more than 100 years ago in South Africa.
The gems, gathered over the centuries as objects of beauty and symbols of power, can be seen until July 8 and then again from July 31 to Oct. 7
