Trump’s tariff threat to top trading partners roils markets
Trump said he would impose additional 10% tariffs on goods from China and 25% tariffs on all products from Mexico and Canada.
For July 1 celebrations, the National Archives of the UK uploaded several hundred photos of Canada to Flickr, including pictures of Barkerville, British Columbia’s most famous frontier town.
Once the largest city north of San Francisco and west of Chicago, Barkerville sprang to existence after Billy Barker struck gold in the in the Cariboo, BC’s interior, in 1861.
The town was destroyed by a fire on Sept. 16, 1868, but residents quickly rebuilt. See the before and after shots.
