Maybe that iPad would work better with a 24kt gold coating

Since gold ETFs and Apple stock have been the financial stories of the decade, perhaps there was a need for a device that combines something from each.

Computer Choppers modifies electronics by plating them with precious metals and adding jewelry. On the company’s website, they write “. . . we are known for our customized Apple products, we provide our services on most any computer or electronic item.”

No prices were listed; customers must call or email for a quote.

But consumers may be wondering if the Apple logo on MacBooks will still glow after being encrusted with diamonds. Computer Choppers says not to worry:

“In products such as laptops, there is a light source directly behind most logos. Our custom jewelry can be made with holes underneath the stones so the light will shine through.”
