Portugal’s mining strategy may favour copper over lithium
Portugal already has the largest copper mine in the European Union, operated by Lundin Mining.
Scanalyse provides laser scanning condition monitoring services for grinding mills and crushers. Its technology was originally developed at Curtin University and the company started operating commercially in 2007. With substantial penetration into the Australian market already achieved Scanalyse is branching out internationally. Offices have been established in Santiago, Chile, servicing the South American market and in Salt Lake City, Utah to service North America. The latest countries to show interest in the Scanalyse technology are Ghana and Mongolia. Scanalyse has signed a contract with the Rio Tinto operated Oyu Tologoi mine in Mongolia (IM, April and May 2011) to provide services for its comminution circuits. (moreā¦)
