Two million safety inspections and counting

TORONTO, ONTARIO–(Marketwire – March 1, 2012) – Safety professionals around the world have logged more than two million safety inspections using Field ID’s industry-leading inspection management and safety compliance system. The milestone signals growing adoption of Field ID’s cloud-based safety inspection and compliance system among health and safety managers in various industries.

Today, six years after the introduction of Field ID, a new inspection is completed every 15 seconds. Each one records the results of about 10 inspection criteria on average, often with additional information including photos. More than 1.5 million individual assets are now stored in Field ID for regular inspections. In a given month, tens of thousands of safety inspection events are completed globally with Field ID.

“The number of Field ID safety inspections has grown exponentially over the last year,” said Somen Mondal, CEO, Field ID. “As mobile devices such as the iPad, iPhones and smartphones grow in popularity, we expect this exponential growth to continue throughout 2012. Field ID is helping to increase efficiencies and lower costs for safety managers and enhance overall workplace safety for their employees, across multiple platforms.”

Field ID automates inspection and safety compliance management with sophisticated, yet simple-to-use safety inspection software. The solution combines electronic identification (RFID – Radio Frequency Identification – and barcodes) with mobile handheld devices and the web to automate antiquated, paper-based processes.
