Mining’s old guard needs strong medicine
A new report details subpar investor returns in the mining industry over the last decade, particularly big cap diversified companies which have not adapted to new realities.
Axmin Resources (TSX-V: AXM) followed a year of asset sales with a bit of spring cleaning as part of efforts to get its Passendro gold project in the Central African Republic off the ground.
Axmin began the year off by selling a series of assets, some of which it had inherited through a merger with AfNat, a private resource company, the year before, for about C$10 million in cash and shares.
