Column: Global seaborne iron ore had a good 2024, but it’s all China
The world's imports increased a modest 3.6% to a record high in 2024, however the boost was nearly totally driven by China.

Admittedly, the video’s producers are supportive of shale gas extraction. Safety and environmental aspects of the process are extolled.
The group that produced the video has a number of industry supporters, such as Consumer Energy Alliance and the Independent Oil & Gas Association of New York.

That public comment period on highly polemic hydraulic fracturing came to a close earlier this month, and the Department of Environmental Protection Conservation is now supposed to look through the comments even respond to the more poignant ones before making final recs, as required by law.
