Column: Trump 2.0 won’t reverse Biden’s critical minerals push

Dow Jones reports a recovery in global auto and aerospace demand and continued strength in emerging markets should underpin a sharp rise in aluminum demand this year, an executive at the world’s largest producer of the metal said Tuesday.
Speaking at an industry conference, Kevin Anton, chief sustainability officer at Alcoa said aluminum demand should grow by 12% in 2011 from year-earlier levels.
Anton said Brazil should see demand increase dramatically in the coming years as the country improves its infrastructure to prepare to host the World Cup soccer tournament in 2014 and the summer Olympic Games in 2016.
