Rio Tinto names Shell’s Katie Jackson as new copper chief
Jackson, who is the current president of National Grid Ventures, an energy group, joins Rio Tinto on September 1.
The argument over whether it is better to hold mining shares or real assets has now been dramatized and animated.

there is a great difference between holding mining companies shares and physical metal assets for any reason the price of metals goes down u still can sell the metal in the market without any problems but selling shares is not really easy because when there is sell of in market there are more sellers then actual buyers in the market

The metals will always have an edge over stock if you ask me. The metal carries only the market risk. The stock of a metal carries not only the market risk of the metal but also the specific risk of the owner-company.
