BHP posts second straight year of record iron ore production, beats estimates
The world's largest listed miner said iron ore output from Western Australia on a 100% basis was 76.8 million tonnes in the three months to June 30.
The FT reports in a European Commission report on green energy leaked Monday all scenarios point to wind farms becoming the biggest source of electricity in the bloc by 2050, outstripping both coal and nuclear power. Coal use could fall to very low levels it is predicted and gas would be the “bridging” fossil fuel until around 2030 or 2035.
The European Wind Energy Association says under these scenarios wind energy will more than triple its power output by 2020 with €194 billion invested in European wind farms and that by 2030 all of Europe’s 240 million households could be wind-powered.
FT reports if renewable sources of power, such as wind and solar, make up a large share of energy production average prices for households could jump by more than 100% by 2050.
Reuters reports the cost in energy-related expenditure could result in a rise to as much as 15 percent of a household’s income in 2030.
MINING.com reported in September on a new wind turbine design that may give nuclear and coal a run for its money.

You are dreaming! It is not consistent and never will be.The cost will be the prohivitive factor.Whether you like it or not-nuclear,coal and gas are the most economical sources of energy for the world -going forward.Wind power is unreliable and too expensive.

Not without REE and critical materials that USA and Europe do not have.

wind power has never been reliable ,unless some one has to create an advanced wind machine to supercharge the said wind generators .meaning electricity will be much more expensive
