Australia to propose tax incentives for critical minerals
The proposed law will set up a tax incentive worth 10% of relevant processing and refining costs for 31 critical minerals.
Sherwin Iron Limited (ASX: SHD) says that fresh metallurgical testwork on the oolitic hematite from its Roper River Iron Ore Project in the Northern Territory using a simpler processing route has delivered an end product with significantly higher Fe grades.
The final product graded 61 per cent Fe, up from the 57-60 per cent Fe grades generated in earlier tests, while silica levels were reduced significantly to 6 per cent from the 8-10 per cent levels of previous tests.
