QMASTOR wins Export Award

Bulking up

QMASTOR Limited – the leading supplier of software solutions for the global mining, ports, power and bulk commodity industries – was announced as the recipient of the Services Exporter Award at the Hunter Central Coast Export Awards 2011.

The Export Awards, sponsored by the Newcastle Port Corporation, pay tribute to the “best of the best” businesses from the Hunter and Central Coast, recognising the effort, expertise and resources that have consistently contributed to Australian exports. The awards not only recognise the success of the regions exporters but also provide the chance for further recognition at state and national levels through the Premier’s NSW Export Awards and the Australian Export Awards programs.

The Services Exporter Award, which was sponsored by Sparke Helmore Lawyers, represents excellence for outstanding export achievement in a services industry.

QMASTOR Managing Director, Mr Trent Bagnall, whom accepted the award, said “There is a growing international awareness of the value of Australia’s mining technology and services and QMASTOR looks forward to continuing to partner with global resource companies to unlock this value”

Financial year 2011 has seen QMASTOR’s exports grow by over 200% when compared to financial year 2010. This result is largely attributable to the successful execution of QMASTOR’s international marketing strategy where the African office, established in 2008 in Johannesburg, is now bearing the fruit of the investments made in that region. The African exports have increased by over 600% compared to last financial year, with major sales made into South Africa and Mozambique.

In addition to Johannesburg, QMASTOR has established international sales and customer service staff in offices in:

· Denver, USA
· Quebec City, Canada
· Belo Horizonte, Brazil

QMASTOR Chief Operating Officer, Mr Steve Maxwell, said “QMASTOR is expecting very strong growth rates in this 2012 financial year based upon the significant investments the company has made in North and South America over the past 18 months. The growth profiles in the America’s are expected to mirror what QMASTOR has experienced out of our more established African office last year. Indeed, with today’s announcement of QMASTOR’s selection by Vale in Brazil, QMASTOR demonstrates that it continues to deliver on its plans for organic international expansion and reap the returns from the associated growth phase in these newer geographic markets.”
