AEMA, coalition launch legal challenge to BLM Conservation and Landscape Health Rule
The American Exploration & Mining Association was joined by a coalition in filing a challenge last Friday in the Wyoming district court.
Due to rare earth’s rising costs and unreliable supply, Japanese researchers built an electrical car that doesn’t use any REEs.
The proof-of-concept car was built by the Tokyo University of Science, and has an output of 50 kW with 95% plus efficiency.
Eschewing rare earth materials did cost the car in some aspects. The car has poorer torque and energy efficiency than cars that use rare earth elements.
This is not the first time Japanese researchers have tried to find ways around China’s rare earth supply juggernaut. Large quantities of REEs were discovered by scientists on the ocean floor.

Well, Dad still needs his laptop and cell phone so you better start finding and mining some of these REE deposits located in the Western World.
