RAEM high-efficiency anti-vibration mounts from Trelleborg Industrial AVS have been chosen by Saito Separators of Japan for installations that require an exceptional level of isolation and a low noise signature.
The mounts are used on Saito’s SKD250S screw decanter, which is designed for liquid/solid separation and heavy slurries. Typical applications include the separation of soy milk and refuse, dehydration and clarification of wheat starch, separation and dehydration of pigments and dehydration of PVC. Noise and vibration from the 720 kilogram machine are kept to a minimum by four RAEM350M12 mounts.

RAEM is one of a comprehensive range of high performance anti-vibration mountings manufactured by Trelleborg Industrial AVS for machines with rotating movements, such as compressors, AC units, fans, generators, large milling machinery, refiners and defibrilators, as well as separators. The mount is suitable for both light and heavy machines and its extra soft rubber compound gives isolation of 85% to 90% at normal speeds of 1500 rpm, whilst also providing good isolation at lower frequencies.
Trelleborg’s RAEM is corrosion-protected to provide good environmental protection and features an integral fail-safe resilient stop. Available in a range of sizes from 10 to 3,400 kilogram capacity, it will accommodate occasional shock loads.
Based in Tokyo, Saito Separators Limited manufactures disc bowl, basket-type and horizontal centrifuges, associated equipment and dryers. The company’s products are used in food and chemical industries, where many processes require centrifugal sedimentation technologies to separate a wide variety of different materials.

Breakthroughs in vibration technology have been long in coming. We have separators that work for spices, trash, even different kinds of soil. What we need is a vibration machine that separates rocks from coal, or rocks from iron or copper.
