Chile’s copper workers on nationwide strike; Codelco says it will lose millions

Heeren, the current CEO of Anglo American in Peru, will start his new role on February 1, 2025.

The joint venture will buy and sell copper domestically and for export, and over time will take responsibility for trading Zambia’s share of copper output from mines.

Once restarted, the Reliquias project would deliver approximately 2.2 million oz. of silver-equivalent production annually over a nine-year life.

The company will accelerate its lithium mine project to ensure first commercial output in 2027.
