MWH Office in Peru Relocates

LIMA, Peru, December 13, 2010 – MWH, the global wet infrastructure sector leader and provider of environmental engineering, construction and strategic consulting services, today announced that its Peru office is moving to a larger location in Lima’s San Isidro district.  The company also announced that Andrew H. Watson, formerly the mine closure practice leader, will serve as the new country manager for MWH in Peru.

“The MWH operations in Peru have seen unprecedented growth across many of our service offerings, including hydroelectric power services, water and wastewater, with particular growth in the mining sector,” said Rex Bell, director of Latin America operations for MWH. “The new location and the appointment of Andrew to the top post will help MWH Peru continue this growth.”

Prior to joining MWH in 2006, Watson worked for 15 years in the mining industry, including several years in Peru.  A native of South Africa, he speaks Spanish fluently and is a registered professional engineer.  Watson brings expertise in planning, engineering, construction, project management and risk evaluation for infrastructure projects.
