​Sandvik Mining and Construction receives major project orders in materials handling

During October and November, Sandvik Mining and Construction secured a number of orders for bulk materials handling and continuous mining/crushing systems in South America, Africa and Asia. The recently signed orders include:

  • the turn-key supply of a materials handling system for a coal export terminal
  • a “repeat order “ for supply of several iron ore handling machines for a iron ore mine
  • the design and supply of a high-capacity (9100 t/hr) long-distance conveying system for iron ore mine
  • the design and delivery of a complete coal storage (stacking and reclaiming) and handling/loading system for a port
  • the engineering and supply of a high capacity iron ore conveying system for a port

The total value of these orders is approximately 2,200 MSEK and will be included in the order intake for the fourth quarter 2010. Delivery has commenced with completion scheduled to take place between late 2011 and

mid 2013.
