Nevada Mining Association names community engagement manager

The Nevada Mining Association (NVMA) announced Friday the appointment of Rebecca Hall as community engagement manager.

In this position, Hall will oversee the organization’s community engagement throughout the state, while supporting the NVMA’s communications and government relations teams to highlight and promote organizational programs, education, membership and advocacy.

Hall brings several years of statewide leadership and experience in education, science and history to the NVMA. Prior to joining the organization, she served as director of the Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada, was executive director/founder of the Nevada Science Center and the director of education for the Las Vegas Natural History Museum.

As a geoscientist, educator and leader, Hall’s experience has led to affiliations and partnerships with Geological Society of Nevada, Southern Nevada Teacher Workshops and the Nevada Division of Minerals.

Hall earned her Bachelor of Science: Earth and Environment at University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV) and is set to complete her Master of Science: Geoscience, also at UNLV, in 2025.
