Mexico’s proposed higher mining royalties could block nearly $7bn in investments
The Mexican government proposed raising mining royalties under the argument that metal prices have risen in recent years.
Mexican aluminum company Arzyz Metals will expand its Cienega de Flores plant in Mexico’s Nuevo Leon state with a $650 million investment, Governor Samuel Garcia announced in a social media post on Monday.
