Overcapacity and a "slow-moving property crisis" will see China continue to export its cheap copper, dragging down prices elsewhere.
BHP Group expects to reopen its Cerro Colorado copper mine in Chile toward the end of the decade, local paper La Tercera reported on Thursday.
BHP declined to comment.
