Norphonic to showcase robust SIP-based telecom solutions at Mining Exhibition in Moscow

Norphonic will showcase the very latest robust sub-surface mining communication telephone technology at the Mining World Exhibition in Moscow, Russia on the 14-16th April.

Mining World is the largest mining exhibition in Russia. This year, it will feature participation of over 180 companies from 23 countries, including Great Britain, Poland, USA, Taiwan, China, Turkey, Ukraine, Switzerland, Belarus and France. Over 3 900 mining specialists are expected to visit the exhibition over 3 days, to discover the latest equipment, projects and communication technologies.

The Norphonic Heavy Duty VoIP Telephone is a telephone tailored to underground mining areas, being both water and dust resistant with a performance rating of IP65. It is otherwise bulit to withstand extreme temperatures, humid and dirty environments. Health and Safety will be under the spotlight at this exhibition, particularly with the recent accident in China fresh in the memory, where a flood caused 153 miners to be trapped in the newly constructed Wangjialing mine. Many organisations are now campaigning for improved health and safety standards to protect exposed mining workers.
