Modular increases productivity at open-pit gold operation in Krygz Republic

The Kumtor gold mine in the Kyrgz Republic has implemented Modular Mining’s IntelliMine^® suite of products into its operation. The installation includes the DISPATCH^® mine management system, the MasterLink® wireless network, the PowerView^TM reporting software suite, as well as interfacing with the VIMS^® system on Caterpillar haul trucks. All of these were selected to assist with its productivity increase initiatives. Kumtor is one of the largest open-pit gold mines in Asia and produced in excess of 556,000 oz of gold in 2008. (more…)
