Mining’s old guard needs strong medicine
A new report details subpar investor returns in the mining industry over the last decade, particularly big cap diversified companies which have not adapted to new realities.
Goldcorp’s Musselwhite mine in northwest Ontario has become the first gold mining operation in Canada to be fully certified under the International Cyanide Management Code for the Manufacture, Transport and Use of Cyanide in the Production of Gold. Musselwhite is an underground mine that produces some 250,000 oz/y of gold. (more…)
