Amplats in talks to sell Bokoni mine to African Rainbow Minerals

South Africa’s Anglo American Platinum (Amplats) is in talks to sell its Bokoni platinum mine to billionaire Patrice Motsepe’s African Rainbow Minerals, the two mining firms said on Thursday.
Amplats, a unit of Anglo American, suspended mining at Bokoni in 2017 and said it aimed to find an owner with the technical and financial capacity to restart the mine.
Amplats shares were up 2.4% while ARM shares gained 1% in early trading.
