Zimbabwe may sell 40% stake in a key gold mine to raise capital
Zimbabwe’s largest gold producer is negotiating with potential partners to boost production at its Shamva mine.
State-run Chinese aluminium producer Chalco’s bauxite project in Guinea is “operating normally” after the overthrow of President Alpha Conde, a Chalco spokesperson said in a text message on Monday.
Chalco, formally known as Aluminum Corp of China Ltd, produces bauxite, the main aluminium ore, from the Boffa mine in the West African country.
