NDCO provides multiple roadheader machines to Sochi, Russia for 2014 olympic construction projects

NDCO Construction Services has just sold a third Roadheader to Sochi, Russia . The machine has just been delivered onsite where it will be used constructing tunnels for the 2014 Winter Olympics.

The 135 ton Sandvik ATM105-IC heavy roadheader will be assembled and commissioned by one of NDCO’s technicians, who will also be providing training to the operators and mechanics at the project.

The 2014 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XXII Olympic Winter Games, will be held from February 7 to February 23, 2014. The host city, Sochi, Russia, was elected on July 4, 2007, during the 119th International Olympic Committee (IOC) Session in Guatemala City, Guatemala. This will be the first time that the Russian Federation will host the Winter Olympics; the Soviet Union hosted the 1980 Summer Games in Moscow.

NDCO has also recently provided a roadheader for use in a tunnel project in Vancouver, Canada, host city to the 2010 Winter Olympics.
