Chile copper, lithium mines rattled by 7.4-magnitude quake
The earthquake struck 45 km outside San Pedro de Atacama, northern Chile, home to country's major copper and lithium mines.
The Ernest Henry Mine was due to be closed in 2012 but the mining giant said on Wednesday that it’ll be transforming the open cut copper, gold and magnetite pit into a major underground site and will keep it running until 2024……more at International Longwall News
