The Underground Construction Association of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (UCA of SME) announced Thursday that the North America Tunneling (NAT) 2020 conference originally scheduled to be held June 7-10 in Nashville, Tennessee, has been canceled.

It is with the safety of all involved, coupled with the uncertainty of what business and travel environments will look like in June that the decision was made, SME said.

“The UCA staff is currently looking into potential virtual options to share some of those much-anticipated sessions,” said executive director Dave Kanagy.

The next Cutting Edge Conference will be held November 9-11 in Dallas, Texas and the Rapid Excavation & Tunneling Conference will be held June 13-16, 2021 in Las Vegas.
